Last month we had the honor of writing a piece on how you can effortlessly incorporate CBD into your daily routine. Today we’re going to expand on that and explore how you can easily infuse CBD into some delicious meals.
Understanding CBD in Cooking
We know from the various other blogs that we’re shared with you all that CBD has numerous benefits to sleep, pain relief, mental-health, and so much more.
And what else helps with all of those things? FOOD! So we thought, what better topic to kick off the new year with than to explore quick and delicious meals that are infused with CBD?
Without further ado, let’s get into the recipes!
CBD Cooking Oil
Before we can begin making any CBD-infused recipes we must first make sure we have CBD cooking oil to infuse the recipes with. So, let’s go over how to make it.
- Ingredients:
- 1 bottle (30 ml) high-quality CBD oil or tincture
- 1 cup (240 ml) or less of carrier oil (such as olive oil, coconut oil, or grapeseed oil)
- Instructions:
- Select a high-quality CBD oil or tincture. Ensure it’s a product suitable for consumption and free from unnecessary additives.
- Consider your preferred CBD dosage per serving and calculate the total amount needed for the entire batch of cooking oil.
- In a small saucepan, combine the chosen carrier oil and CBD oil. The ratio will depend on your desired concentration. A common starting point is one cup of carrier oil to one bottle (30 ml) of CBD oil.
- Heat the mixture over low heat, stirring gently. Avoid high temperatures, as excessive heat can degrade the CBD. Aim for a gentle infusion to preserve the therapeutic properties.
- Keep a close eye on the mixture and stir constantly. This process helps ensure an even distribution of CBD throughout the oil.
- Once adequately infused, remove the saucepan from heat. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.
- Using a fine-mesh strainer or cheesecloth, strain the oil to remove any plant material or impurities. Transfer the infused oil into a glass container with a lid for convenient storage.
